As a rights-based program that seeks to enable poor households to meet human developmental goals, so that they can eventually break the intergenerational poverty cycle, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) enjoined its (4Ps) beneficiaries to partake in the Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas Mega Job Fair.
The 4Ps beneficiaries from the provinces of Pampanga and Bulacan participated in the Mega Job Fair last April 21, 2025, at Bren Z Guiao Convention Center and April 26, 2025, at Valencia Hall, Bulacan State University, respectively.

The DSWD spearheaded the event in partnership with the DOLE who led the facilitation of employers who have participated in the event, the Department of Health (DOH) with Alay Buhay Development Foundation, Inc. for the provision of free medical services such as X-Ray, laboratories, and pre-employment medical services, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) who have provided free skills training that the jobseekers can use in applying for job opportunities and/or starting their own business.
The program was attended by the representatives from DSWD: Undersecretary for Conditional Cash Transfer Vilma B. Cabrera, Assistant Secretary for Conditional Cash Transfer Marites M. Maristela, CESO III, Assistant Secretary for Community Engagement Ulysses Hermogenes C. Aguilar, 4Ps National Program Manager Gemma B. Gabuya, 4Ps Deputy Program Manager Rosalie Dagulo, Field Office 3 – Central Luzon Regional Director Venus F. Rebuldela and was graced by the DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, Undersecretary Atty. Benjo Santos M. Benavidez, DOLE Region 3 Regional Director Geraldine M. Panlilio, Department of Health (DOH) Regional Director Corazon I. Flores, MD, MPH, CESO III.
172 out of 3,000 beneficiaries from the province of Pampanga were hired on the spot, while 235 were hired on the spot from the province of Bulacan — these numbers set the record as the highest amongst all the conducted Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas Mega Job Fair nationwide.
As part of the program, the beneficiaries also received employment assistance through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) and a job orientation from the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to guide the job seekers in preparing the necessary documents needed. In addition, the beneficiaries also received vegetable seeds from the Department of Agriculture.
Ms. Marita Marquez, 52, one of the hired on the spot from City of Malolos, Bulacan, was very grateful to be part of the program and event and had said that this job opportunity will be of help for her children and husband who is a Person with Disability (PWD). She was very grateful to be hired given her age.
“Dumalo ako dito sa job fair para magkaroon ako ng pagkakakitaan na makakatulong sa aking mga anak at asawa na PWD (Person with Disability), sa awa ng Diyos, natanggap po ako agad. Maraming salamat sa DSWD at sa lahat ng bumubuo ng job fair dahil kahit sa edad ko na 52 ay natanggap pa rin po ako.”
The Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas Mega Job Fair is being conducted to provide job opportunities to exiting 4Ps households to assist them in improving their living conditions to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger in line with the goal of 4Ps. ##
