Pormal na na-i-turnover ang 26 na sub-proyekto ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 3 – Central Luzon sa pamamagitan ng Kapit Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) sa Munisipyo ng Botolan, Zambales.

Ilan sa mga proyektong ito ay ang:

•           Improvement of Barangay Health Center
•           Purchase of DOH Approved Medical Tools and Equipment
•           Purchase of Disaster Response Operations Tools and Equipment
•           Improvement of Level I Water Supply
•           Construction of Level II Water System
•           Installation of Water Supply for Child Development Center and Health Center
•           Concreting of Barangay Road with slope protection
•           Construction of ten (10) Units of Fishing Boats
•           Construction of Community Shed for Disaster Response
•           Construction of one (1) Unit Child Development Center

 

Sa ngalan ni Regional Director Venus F. Rebuldela, dinaluhan ito ni Assistant Regional Director for Operations Armont C. Pecina, kasama si OIC – Regional Program Coordinator ng KALAHI-CIDSS Aladin L. Naje, at iba pang kawani ng ahensya katuwang ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Botolan sa pangunguna ni Municipal Mayor Jun Omar C. Ebdane, at ang mga opisyal ng barangay local government unit (BLGU) at mga community volunteers.

 

Isa sa mga highlight ng aktibidad ay ang pagdaraos ng ribbon-cutting ceremony ng isang (1) Unit na Child Development Center, pagtanggap ng mga sertipiko ng pagsuporta at pagkilala ng mga barangay, at mga mensahe ng pasasalamat mula sa mga community volunteers at BLGU officials.

Lubos ang pasasalamat ni Mrs. Jenalyn Abejon sa DSWD, “Isa po akong community volunteer na naempower ng KALAHI-CIDSS. Sa lahat ng taong bumubuo ng DSWD, maraming maraming salamat po.

Patuloy ang programa sa paghahatid ng higit na serbisyo at pagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa mga komunidad na magdesisyon, magplano, at magbigay priyoridad sa mga problema sa barangay. Ito ay patunay ng pagkakaroon ng pagbabago at kaunlaran sa kanilang mga komunidad.
