Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary for General Administration and Support Services Group Edward Justine Orden and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Undersecretary for Support Services Office Rowena Niña Taduran sign on Wednesday (April 24) an agreement that will officially transfer the land owned by DAR to the DSWD.

Through the Deed of Transfer, signed at the DSWD Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth (RRCY) in Magalang, Pampanga, the 5-hectare parcel of land currently occupied by RRCY will now be transferred to the DSWD for the establishment of the proposed Welfare Ville in the region.

Aside from RRCY,  facilities such as the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC), Lingap Center, Trafficking in Persons’ Processing Center, and a DSWD  satellite warehouse will also be built in the area.

DSWD Undersecretary for International Affairs, Attached and Supervised Agencies Emmeline Aglipay-Villar,  Assistant Secretary Elaine F. Fallarcuna, Administrative Service Director Karina Antonette A. Agudo, DSWD Field Office-3 (Central Luzon) Regional Director Venus Rebuldela, Asst. Regional Director for Administration Maribel M. Blanco, and Asst. Regional Director for Operations Armont  C. Pecina  were also present to witness the MOU signing.

Also attending the activity were DAR- Bureau of Land Acquisition Engr. Domingo Roque and DAR Region-3 – Land Tenure Service Head Marissa Nagun. #
