The National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) is conducted annually in recognition of women’s significant contribution to nation-building. In lieu of Proclamation No. 244 Declaring the First Week of March Every year as Women’s Week and March 8, 1988 and Every Year Thereafter as Women’s Rights and International Peace Day.”, Proclamation No. 227 “Providing for the observance of the Month of march as ‘Women’s Role in History Month’, and R.A. 6949 An Act to Declare March Eight of Every Year as a Working Special Holiday to be known as National Women’s Day. 

In line with this, the celebration of Girl Child Week and the Women with Disabilities Day within the Women’s Month is also observed pursuant to Proclamation No. 759, s of 1996 – Declaring every fourth week of March as the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week and Proclamation No. 744, s. of 2004 – Declaring the last Monday of March of every year as Women with Disabilities Day to emphasize the inclusion of women with disabilities within the society who deserve equal rights in the field of law and in all aspects of human endeavor.

The theme from 2017-2022, “We make Change Work for Women” and this year’s theme is “Agenda ng Kababaihan, Tungo sa Kaunlaran”.

March 15-16, 2022	Face to Face Orientation of Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) in 2 batches for the LTO RO 3 Regional and Provincial Staff
March 17-18, 2022	Face to Face Orientation on SOGIE and Safe Spaces Act for the Youth Leaders and LGBTQIA Youth of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga
March 22, 2022	Online Orientation on Safe Spaces Act, Anti-Child Pornigraphy and Online Safety for the LGU of Angeles City Staff
March 24, 2022	Face to Face Orienation on Anti-Child Pornigraphy and Online Safety and Gender Sensitivity for the LGU of Angeles City VAWC Desk Officers
March 28, 2022	Online Orientation on Magna Carta for Disabled Person and Safe Spaces Act
