Jeffrey Espiritu is the 2019 PRAISE Awardee for Best Technical Staff conferred by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

He is a Project Development Officer II of the Disaster Response and Management Division for three years. Initially, he was assigned to the Regional office in February 2016 and was asked to monitor the province of Nueva Ecija under the program of Disaster Response and Rehabilitation Section: Emergency Shelter Assistance.

With his passion and dedication, in August 2016, Espiritu was deployed in Bulacan Province where he was appointed as the provincial team leader of Disaster Response.

He leads the monitoring of 21 municipalities, 3 cities and 1 provincial office as to disaster response, rehabilitation, information, and logistics management.

Espiritu’s ambitions, intelligence, and accomplishments complement precisely on his venture in the department which makes him highly deserving of the honor and opportunity to be recognized.

His positive and diligent attitude towards his job made him grow into an exemplary employee. He genuinely cares about delivering excellent quality work and goes beyond the call of duty. Since 2018, two of the selected projects from his respective LGUs ( Municipalities of Plaridel and Bulakan, Bulacan) which were recognized as good practice for their contribution to environmental, economic and social improvements of Climate Change with their Katurai and Communal Gardening projects.

In December 2018, He was awarded as “Outstanding Innovator” because he finds creative ways and initiates ideas to support the vision of DRMD programs.

In three years, he has been recognized as an outstanding team leader of Disaster Management of Bulacan. His unique skills perfectly summed up the importance of the far-reaching impact of the department’s disaster relief efforts because for him, touching other people’s lives and making such a positive impact is genuine public service.

Moreover, Jeffrey’s honesty and authenticity have earned him consistent recognition on the “Trust in Public Service Award” in December 2018 and this year, he has been awarded as the Character Employee of the Month of February. Beyond his job, Jeffrey depicts the characteristics of genuine public service. With his giving spirit and passion, he is indeed deserving of this prestigious PRAISE award.
