Justin Carangan, grand champion of the 2016 Regional Search for Pantawid Pamilya Exemplary Child during the talent portion.

Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office III, for the fifth year, conducted Regional Search for Pantawid Pamilya Exemplary Child on October 24, 2016 at Walter Mart, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The search aims to encourage exemplary compliance of children to the conditionalities set by the program through recognition of those who excel in doing so–develop exemplary Pantawid Pamilya children beneficiaries as advocates of the program and its thrust in health and education, and involves the LGUs, partner agencies, and other partners in the promotion of children’s rights, thus heightening their awareness on the importance of addressing supply side gaps.

Seven (7) contenders from different provinces of Region III competed for the title 2016 Pantawid Exemplary Child. They showcased their talents and skills, and wit and intelligence during the talent portion and the question and answer portion. After a breath-taking 30 minutes of deliberation, Justin M. Carangaran, from Plaridel, Bulacan was declared as the grand champion.

Justin will be the local/provincial/regional/national ambassador especially on children’s rights specifically to health and education, will be attending Press Conferences and Radio/TV (local) program/guestings for the Pantawid Pamilya, will serve as an actor/actress or model for the audio-visual presentations, radio plugs, and photo shoots, and will deliver messages/speeches for activities pertaining or relevant to children’s right health and education. ### (Andyleen C.
