DSWD releases COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for employees

To continuously support the Philippine government’s COVID-19 vaccination program, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has released a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for the immunization of its employees.

The Vaccination Policy provides an implementing mechanism for the profiling of DSWD employees who are eligible to receive vaccines and the conduct of immunization in accredited and certified vaccination sites of the Department of Health (DOH).

The deployment of vaccines will be in a phased approached depending on the delivery and availability of vaccines and logistical requirements. In addition, the execution of the vaccination program will be in accordance with the National Vaccination Plan, that is, all frontline healthcare workers will be vaccinated first before proceeding to the next priority group.

DSWD employees are part of the government workforce under the A4 priority group.

As of July 1, a total of 810 DSWD Central Office employees have already been vaccinated.

The Department, through its Social Marketing Service (SMS), will also continue to provide relevant and updated information about the Philippine National Deployment and Vaccination Plan to assist employees as they make informed decisions about their inoculation. ###
