QUEZON CITY – DSWD Region III once again proved its over-the-top performance in public service as it was recognized on different 2019 PRAISE categories.

Emelita C. Bolivar bagged the Best Center Head for her transformative leadership to the Regional Home for Girls in Nueva Ecija.

Another big winner is Jeffrey Espiritu for Best Technical Staff. He is a Project Development Officer II of the Disaster Response Management Division.

The Region was also a finalist under five more categories: 2nd Place for Best Convergence Action Team: MAT Talugtug, Nueva Ecija; 2nd Place for Best Knowledge Management (KM) Initiative: Regional Financial Guidelines; 2nd Place for Best Social Worker: Mercedes Cruz; 3rd Place for Best Operations Office: DPEO Pampanga; and Finalist for Best Center: Regional Home for Girls.

A special citation was also given to Irene C. Crespo, former Assistant Regional Director for Administration and to Lilibeth F. Torres, Municipal Link, for topping the 2019 Social Work Licensure Exam.

The Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) is designed to encourage creativity, innovativeness, efficiency, integrity, and productivity in the public service by recognizing and rewarding officials and employees for their contributions in the improvement of government operations. 

DSWD Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista hopes that through this recognition, the passion for service of the employees will be renewed, “Sana ay manumbalik at mas lalong mapalakas sa damdamin ng bawat isa ang ating buong dedikasyon at pagmamalasakit sa DSWD.”

This is one of the highlights of the Department’s  celebration of its 69th anniversary with the theme, “Social Integration: DSWD’s Major Thrust in line with the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022.”
