PAMPANGA, Philippines. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region III activates its quick response team for the immediate augmentation and data gathering of the affected families of Tropical Depression (TD) Jenny.

At present, DSWD Region III has prepositioned resources in its regional and provincial warehouses. 

On August 28, 2019, 12:00am situation report released by Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC), Aurora and Zambales are affected by TD Jenny. 284 and 61 families are affected respectively.147 families are currently residing in 12 evacuation centers.

It is the duty of the (DSWD) to provide for the basic needs of the disaster-affected families through prepositioning of resources. However, under RA 7160 or the Local Government Code of the Philippines, the concerned Local Government Units are the first responders who are responsible for setting-up and managing evacuation centers, providing immediate relief assistance and conducting rescue operations.

PAG-ASA announced TD Jenny landfall in Casiguran Aurora on August 27, 2019,10:40pm. 

As of 8:00 am, the northern part of Zambales is tagged affected by the TD Rosita under signal number 1.
