Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA), a program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) which focuses on early recovery and rehabilitation of disaster victims/survivors. The program provides financial assistance to the affected families whose houses were damaged caused by natural or man-made disasters.

On April 22, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolted Central Luzon. DSWD immediately responded and provided relief assistance. The department also deployed staff to validate the reported damaged houses. There were a total of 3,135 validated damaged houses in the 3 provinces in Region III; 2,230 partially damaged, 905 totally damaged.

DSWD Region III to conduct pay-out of ESA for on July 31 to August 2, 2019. The schedule of pay-out per municipality/city is as follows.

Pay-out for ESA beneficiaries in Bataan and Zambales is yet to schedule in August.

ESA has 2 categories: totally and partially damaged houses. In which ₱30,000 plus 10 days built-in Cash for Work (CFW) for the former, while  ₱10,000 plus 5 days built-in CFW for the latter. For Central Luzon, the rate of CFW is ₱300 per day.
