The Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD manages centers and residential care facilities (CRCF) all over the country. Here in region 3, there are 7 CRCF being operated under the supervision and management of the department.

CRCF houses abandoned, abused and neglected, and trafficked children, women, children-in-conflict with the law and children with special needs. Amidst successful rehabilitation, reintegration, foster care and adoption placement, DSWD Region 3 has taken necessary steps to improve these facilities to provide better services to its clients and increase their capacity as to the number of residents admitted.

AMOR Village, located in Anao, Tarlac,  houses children with special needs. As of June 4, 2019, infrastructures completed are construction of cottage, infirmary and laundry building with drying area. Repairs were also made for kitchen, roofing and ceiling, boys and girls dorm, ceilings of social hall, library and outside kitchen area as well as admin and livelihood building and repainting of all facilities. Regional Home for Girls in Nueva Ecija caters for abused and trafficked girls constructed 2-storey dormitory, and laundry building, repaired Agape and Faith building, repainting of all existing facilities and upgraded their industrial kitchen.

Haven for Girls in Pampanga rehabilitates female children-in-conflict with the law, also improved their center through construction of parking area, AVR, clinic, Psychotherapy and Counseling building, repair of main building, 5 dormitories and extension of social service unit building.

Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth is a facility that rehabilitates male children-in-conflict with the law is located in Pampanga. They have constructed a stage, perimeter fence, parking area, pavement and flag pole, and 2-story dormitory. Repairs have been made in their Brigoli Building, laundry and storage building, as well as Villar and Administrative building.

Tarlac Home for Women attends to the needs of abused women and their children. They constructed their gate, pathway and duplex cottage. They also had their facilities repaired, specifically the Tabitha and infirmary building, comfort rooms, drainage and multi-purpose and livelihood, laundry area and administrative building.

Tarlac Lingap Center provides care for Children-at-Risk. Like other centers, they also made improvements in their facilities such as construction of fence, new gate, concrete pavement, water system, guard house, cottage and laundry building, as well as repair of dorms, social hall, drainage and administrative building.

Lastly, the Reception and Study Center for Children that seeks placement and foster care for abandoned, abused and neglected children, constructed their laundry building, cottage, and repaired 3 cottages, orange building, infirmary building, social service unit and installation of rainwater collector system, as well as repainting of their facilities.

With these developmental efforts, the department hopes for a safer. more conducive and comfortable temporary shelters for its clients.
