A day after the 6.1 magnitude earthquake, reports are continously sent to DSWD Region 3. According to the situation report sent by DROMIC Region 3 as of 23 April 2019, 12:00nn, a total of 300 families are affected with 1,708 individuals. 180 are from Pampanga and 120 from Zambales.

Search and rescue operations is still on-going in the wreckage of the collapsed Chuzon Supermarket. The number of casualties are as follows: 5 deaths, 9 injured and 14 missing. 3 of the injured survivors are admitted at Jose Songco Lapid Hospital (JSL) , while the other 6 in Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital (JBLMRH). 6 deaths within the viscinity of Porac were listed as well as 3 remain missing in Brgy. Camias, Porac, Pampanga.

DSWD continues to provide augmentation to the affected families. Staff from the Crisis Intervention Unit located for the families of the non-survivors to conduct interview and provide the necessary burial assistance amounting to 5,000 pesos each. A total of 45,000 pesos was disbursed for the said assistance to 9 clients. (Update: 1 burial assistance given to 1 casualty in Angeles City)

Meanwhile, other workforce of the department were assigned to JSL and JBLMRH and other health care facilities to conduct assessment other survivors and have provided a total of 70,000 pesos worth of medical assistance to 14 individuals (5,000 pesos each: Porac, 10; Lubao, 2; Floridablanca, 1; Mexico 1).

The department also made sure to assess damanged houses. As per Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Pampanga, a total of 613 families with damaged houses from Barangay Camias, Porac, Pampanga.

Meanwhile, the Disaster Response Management Division, delivered 55 Family Food Packs to affected families in Barangay Diaz who are currently evacuated in Baranagay Babo Pangulo, Porac.

As Pampanga is placed on a State of Calamity, DSWD activates its regional quick response team. Expecting 24 hours duty for on-time delivery of data which will be a basis for emergency response.
