The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office III has prepositioned relief goods to the six (6) provinces of Central Luzon in support of the local government’s disaster relief operations.

Ms. Editha Diaz, Administrative Officer IV of the DSWD Field Office III said that 10,089 family food packs were prepositioned to the DSWD satellite warehouses in the six provinces of Central Luzon with the following breakdown: Aurora (8,064 packs); Bataan (479); Bulacan (474); Nueva Ecija (517); Tarlac (490); and Zambales (65).

Aside from this, the DSWD FO III warehouse has available 10,143 family food packs and non-food items like laminated sacks, blankets, mosquito nets, plastic mats, malong, and cooking utensils, Diaz added.

As part of the disaster preparedness, DSWD FO III has convened all its quick response teams (QRT) and maintains close coordination with the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) in the region and local DRRMC in the local level.

As of 1:00 P.M. today, the QRT on duty has not received reports of affected areas in the region. The QRTs will continue to monitor the weather conditions for the possible effects of typhoon ‘Maring’in the region. ### (Evelyn T. Manalo)
